Frontend track
Learn all 5 frontend patterns, complete the labs in this category and answer its practice questions, getting at least 70% right.
What it covers
- Backward-Compatible API Evolution Change APIs only in ways old clients can live with, because installed apps stay in use for months or years.
- Micro-Frontends Split a large web frontend by business area, so each team builds, tests and deploys its part of the UI on its own.
- App Shell Give the app one small host that owns the frame, navigation, sign-in and shared services, and load each team's features into it.
- Server-Driven UI Let the backend describe what a screen shows, so you can change mobile screens without waiting for an app release.
- Offline-First Sync Let the app read and write a local copy of its data, and sync changes with the services when a connection is available.
- API Evolution lab Rename a field that installed mobile apps still read and watch them break. Then add fields instead, retire old ones by usage data, add a minimum version, read tolerantly or translate in a BFF.
